LEAD & CO PASTOR

Pastors Jim and Tina Von Wald moved to Foley in the spring of 2002 to join the New Life Church plant. They are passionate about leading people into deeper relationships with God and each other. Before serving as a pastor in Foley, Jim was a Probation/Parole Officer for 15 years. Jim enjoys sports and has officiated at the high school and college levels for 20 years. He is currently coaching football and baseball at Foley High School. Jim graduated from North Central University and, in 2021, received his Master's in Theology, Rural Ministry from Trinity Bible College and Graduate School. Tina worked in training and leadership development for the State of Minnesota and several direct sales companies for 15 years. Upon moving to Foley, Tina changed her focus to pastoral ministry and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. In 2021, she received her Master's in Theology, Rural Ministry from Trinity Bible College and Graduate School. She is an adjunct professor at Global University. Tina served as co-pastor for 22 years but, in March 2024, retired and is now a life coach. Jim and Tina have been married for 38 years and have three adult children: Emma (Jared), Ella (Michael), Ean (Dominique), and two granddaughters.

CO PASTOR & YOUTH PASTOR

In October 2012, Nick joined our team as Youth Pastor. In 2012, he graduated from North Central University with a degree in Youth Ministry. He is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. He was called into ministry in high school and has been developing his skills as a youth leader ever since. In March 2024, Nick became the co pastor alongside Pastor Jim. Nick and Casey, a 2013 graduate of North Central University with a degree in Social Work, were married in August 2013 and enjoy ministry together. They like watching movies, playing sports, eating out, and hanging out with friends. Pastor Nick and Casey have two children: Jonah and Blake.

WORSHIP LEADER

In August of 2022, Patrick joined our team as Worship Leader. He was called into ministry after high school and has been serving, interning, and leading in various positions since. He is currently attending Global University to complete his degree. Patrick and Jordyn, a photographer running her own business and a barista, were married in August 2021. They love doing ministry together. They enjoy playing board games, music, cooking, being creative and hanging out with friends.

CHILDREN’S PASTOR

Mindy Goldman joined our staff as our Interim Kidlife Director in January 2018. Before taking on the responsibilities of Kidlife, Mindy was our Earlylife director. She is passionate about kids and helping them develop a relationship with God. She received her ministry license with the Assemblies of God in the Spring of 2019. Her husband, Mark, is a computer programmer (He doesn’t know anything about Windows, so don’t ask.), and together they have five kids ranging in age from 18 to 6. You can often find their whole clan in Lifehall on Sunday mornings.

CONNECTIONS PASTOR & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Pam Schrupp joined our staff as our Office Administrator in December 2012. Before coming to New Life, Pam was a Pre-school Teacher and then worked in the health and fitness industry for many years. Pam received her license to preach with the Assemblies of God in the spring of 2018. Pam’s desire and passion are to lead people to a genuine sense of belonging, involvement, and spiritual growth at New Life by meeting people where they are and leading them to the next steps. Pam is a collector of facts, hasn’t met a candy she doesn’t like, and loves people. Her husband, Troy, is an 8th-grade Math teacher in Big Lake; they have two adult sons: Spencer and Kyle. They love going to the movies and eating out at every chance.

PRAYER & COUNSELING PASTOR

Yvonne Linz and her husband, Harry, have been a part of New Life Church from its inception. Yvonne is passionate about introducing people to Jesus, discipleship, and intercessory prayer. Yvonne has a degree in education and served as a Christian educator for many years. She has a Master's degree in Christian Counseling, holds credentials with the Assemblies of God, and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Yvonne and Harry have been married for 46 years and have two adult daughters: Sarah (Jason), Jessica (Chris), and nine grandchildren.
